Kenya is almost 4 1/2 times the size of England. To the east it borders Somalia , Ethiopia to the north, Tanzania to the south, Uganda to the west, and Sudan to the northwest. In the north,the land is arid; the southwest corner is is the fertile Lake Victoria Basin; the Great Rift Valley separates western highlands from those that from the lowland coastal strip.
